Uthman died this morning (4th Ramadan; 14ht Aug) at Crescent Gold Crown Hospital, Ilorin. We pray to Allah to forgive him and grant him Janatul-firdaus. We thank all those that assisted too.

We are very sorry for not keeping you up to date as regards the case of Uthman Mogaji for some days back; we have actually been very busy.

Alhamdulillah, he returned to Nigeria about a week back from Apollo hospital, Delhi, India. Please see the uploaded discharge summary (page 1 ; page 2) from the hospital to know the details of his treatment. He is presently receiving care at a local hospital. We still need your prayers for him. As a proof of his visit to India, please see the uploaded picture of Uthman at the airport with his attendant.

A summary of the financial details of this campaign so far will be uploaded soon. He is still taking drugs and receiving adequate attention at the hospital. Keep in touch with our website for regular updates.

UPDATE ON UTHMAN MOGAJI

We are grateful to Allah and all those who have assisted financially and otherwise in this campaign for Uthman. Uthman left Nigeria for Delhi, India on friday, 23rd of July with Muiz Muadh, one of the members of Oasis Muslim care fund. They arrived India safely and the doctors have been carrying out their evaluations. We presently await progress report from them as his treatment continues.

Uthman Mogaji is a well-known personality in the field of Islamic dawah on and off-campuses in Kwara State, Nigeria. He has held several administrative positions in the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) at the institution, area council, central branch and state levels. He is presently one of the state excos of Kwara State area unit of MSSN.

He has just been dignosed with cancer of the liver (hepatoma). Uthman Mogaji has been in discomfort for some weeks back until tests finnaly revealed that he has hepatoma. His doctors have advised him to seek treatment abroad and this has to be urgent. As we speak, Uthman is in serious pain and has been advised to have bed rest.

Oasis Muslim Care Fund and Uthman’s friends have contacted some Indian hospitals on his behalf. After examining the results of the tests, Apollo Hospital, Delhi gave an interim cost of treatment as $10,000 (ten thousand dollars). After calculating all other expenses that would be associated with his treatment, we arrived at a value of 2.1 million naira (Apollo’s response and cost computation attached).
